Some updates

I was supposed to have two classes today. But they both got cancelled and I spent all day sitting at my desk working on back up lessons and planning for next week. Also catching up on some Arrested Development and the Glee season finale. Woooo. High schoolers have come over to the middle school staff room and are microwaving delicious smelling things and I’m getting hungry.... ahhh my lovely high schoolers!
Exams are coming soon. I've written 6 questions for each grade in middle school, and am currently revising lessons with them. I'm pretty much telling them what my questions are on. Aren’t I so nice? Though most don't seem to care, only the eager ones are listening and participating. At least they will know the answers. That’ll teach those that aren’t. Ha.

I have a summer camp to do with my middle schoolers, which I am actually looking forward to. It’s in the first three days of vacation. Then I have another 1 week camp with Changchon Elementary. Not looking forward to that one so much, though it will be nice to not have to use the textbook for once..... then two weeks offffff! Hoping to head across to Japan and do some sightseeing and catching up with friends. Was heaps excited, but that soon waned when I looked the price of stuff over there. Crazy expensive!!.... not deterring me though. Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka here I come.

Earlier this week, my wonderful family sent me a large box of goodies. Tim Tams, Tiny Teddies, jam, PB, honey, Coco Pops... enough to keep me fed for at least another 3 months. I shared some of the Mint Slice and Cherry Ripes with the rest of the staff. They liked.

World Cup fever!! Football is huuuuge in Korea. Park Jisung, like Kim Yuna, is a national hero. On game day, everyone in the streets was wearing red t-shirts. EVERYONE. It was awesome. I have one too now. We watched the opening match vs Greece at Chuncheon Songam Sports Stadium and there were thousands of people in the rain cheering on. Every time Jisung was on the screen there was a loud cheer. When he scored that second goal everyone went nuts! In the end we won 2-0. Yes! DAE HAN MIN GUK!

Finally, if you read this, please leave a comment. It’s nice to know that this blog is actually being useful. And thanks to those who are emailing/Facebooking/texting me. Even if I don’t manage to reply, I appreciate it more than you know ♥
Peace. Guy
